Internal and External Conflicts in "The Sniper"

In the story “The Sniper”, the sniper faces external and internal conflicts. The external conflict is that their is another sniper across the rooftop across the street. He has to worry about his surroundings and the other sniper. When an informer comes and tells where the sniper is, the sniper then shoots the man who comes out the car and than the lady as she run, trying not to be found. While doing that the other sniper shoots him in the are, the rifle id too heavy now and the sniper must find a way out. He can’t be found on the roof, and the morning is rushing to come, he plays dead and as the guy is standing the sniper takes out a revolver and shoots the other sniper across the street. The internal conflict is that as the sniper watches the other sniper fall to the ground he fills with guilt. Then feeling bad he no longer wants to fight he throws the gun and almost gets shot in the head by his own revolver. When he snaps back into reality he runs across to see his enemy’s face and what he sees is his own brothers face...
