Persuasive Essay: Opinion Statement Brainstorm

  • Transports + More = We need to have more cars, and more transports.
  • Decoration of rooms + Less rules =  We should have less rules on what we can have in our room.
  • Housing + Way people are put together = The way students are put into a house, should be placed grade, age, and habits.
  • Dinner &  Study Hour + None = There shouldn't be a dinner hour, and study hour should be a choice, some students do thier homework before and than have nothing to do at study hour.
  • Curfew + None = We shouldnt have curfew, we should be responisble for ourselves and have only a 11 o'clock curfew.
Which of these opinion statements should I select for my essay? Why?

First Persuasive Paragraph

Students should/should not be given money to buy Christmas gifts for their friends

Student should be given money to buy thier friends gifts. It is the nice thing to do and a friend would greatly appreciate it. For things like Christmas or a birthday, having money to buy someone a gift is a huge help. The younger students who can't afford gift, or too young to have a job, where would they get the money? These reasons are really good and I think that if we really did get money to but gifts, it would be used good. It also should not be allowed to get money to buy someone a gift, it might be misused to buy something useless, or for themselves.

“Cranes” Songsam’s Defense Speech

I support my decision in letting Tokchae escape. At the time, we were walking and talking I started to remember the old days, and wonder what had he been up to sinc then. I defend my decision, because we were playmates forever since we were little. Additionally, I am confident that I made the right decision, because I would never let a man who pulled out acorn needles out of my butt! I am proud of myself that I know what was my responsibility in actions, he did nothing wrong, but be a farmer with a tittle put on him from others.
