Historical Approach Paragaph

Understanding history can help readers understand a story, by letting the reader know what historical event it is about. Also it helps by having the knowledge of what the historical event happened, what a person did or what happened to them. By knowing these things the story becomes easier for a reader, and the reader will be able to understand it all. The reader would have more information, the information that the story did not provide. By knowing what I knew before I read a story, the story became easy and I didn’t become confused by what the story was talking about.

What I Learned in the Third Quarter of English 9/10

What I learned this quarter in Ms.Priesters English class is symbolism, allegory, poetry, imagery, figurative language, primary source, and secondary source. Symbolism is when an object means something more than it looks. Allegory is when something or someone stand for more than they are. Poetry is a way to give out feelings and also to symbolism something else. Imagery appeals to all five senses. Figurative language can be used to tell someone without giving the real meaning.  Primary source is when you use a diary or knowledge from a person how was there. Secondary source is using a textbook or using a book based on the event. That is what I learned in my English class.

“American History” Experience with Discrimination

A time I was discriminated against is almost every day. The reason this happens is because of my reputation at S.P.A., almost all of the females on this campus do not trust me around their boyfriend or the person that they like. Even if the boy comes up to me first to give me a hug and say “Hi”, I get looks a lot and called names. A lot of things happen because of the discrimination against my reputation even if that reputation is a lie. When this happens it makes me feel like no one knows who I am really, and that they just trust the people that they are in “love” with.

“American History” Memorable Day Paragraph

The day I remember most is on July 11, 2009. I was in a shop with my first foster mom. I remember me, my sister, and the other girl, who was living there. We were in the back of the soap shop, when a staff came to pick me up so I could go see my dad. When I got to the place where my dad was I got into an argument with the lady that worked there. I got to see my dad and he gave me a DSi, I loved that thing and I never lost it. I will always remember that day because it was my first birthday in the system and the first day I ever got to see my dad after about two or three months.
