Internal Conflict in 'Dog Star

The story “Dog Star” by Arthur C. Clarke, it seems that the narrator regrets his decision to move to the moon. When he is on the moon half awake he thinks about her and how she saved his life. This tells me that he cares dearly about her and that he owes his life to her, and that he should have stayed behind with her. He also remembers the time that he found her on the roadside and her little helpless eyes, that he couldn't leave there. That lets me know that to me that they were meant to be together and that she was a big part in his life. In the end going to the moon changed his life by, Liaka dieing, because she gave up on life. That thanks to her in his dream, he and her saved two other men's life, and his own once again.
